Foreign Trade Case: Heat Stabilizer for Silicone Rubber
Customer Background
The client is Ami Polymer Pvt. Ltd., India, a major manufacturer of silicone rubber compounds and products for automotive seals, electronic thermal management, high-temperature cables, and other applications. Their existing heat stabilizer caused severe yellowing and rapid mechanical property degradation above 250°C. As a result, the company lost EU export orders due to non-compliance with heat resistance and environmental requirements, and urgently needed a high-temperature stabilizer certified to REACH and ROHS standards.
The first email was sent with product MSDS, REACH test reports, and yellowing comparison videos, emphasizing long-term heat resistance, low volatility, and non-yellowing properties.
The client raised three core requirements: ≥90% retention of tensile strength after 1000 hours of heat aging at 300°C, heavy-metal-free composition, and compatibility with standard mixing processes. Our technical team provided a customized dosing solution (1.0–1.5 phr) within 24 hours.
Sent 2000g free samples, along with recommended mixing curves and curing parameters, with full technical support throughout testing.
Testing & Breakthrough
The client conducted lab comparisons with three suppliers:
Competitors: Severe yellowing at high temperatures, strength loss exceeding 15%
Our product: 92% tensile strength retention, no yellowing, low VOC, fully compliant with ROHS and REACH
The client proceeded to scale-up trials, and the product performed stably in mass production, solving compliance issues for EU orders.
