2026 China Glass Exhibition Review

With great anticipation from the global glass industry, the 35th China International Glass Industry Technology Exhibition (China Glass 2026) opened with a grand ceremony on April 7, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Having evolved steadily over four decades of development, China Glass has stood as both a witness to and a driving force behind the industry’s growth. This year’s edition has set new records in exhibition scale, international presence and technological advancement, vividly showcasing the innovative dynamism of the global glass sector.

The opening day drew a large and enthusiastic turnout, underscoring the event’s strong appeal and significant influence as a bellwether and barometer for the industry amid global economic shifts and the push for green transformation.

This edition boasts a total exhibition area of over 90,000 square meters, utilizing seven halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre: Halls N1 to N5 and Halls W4 and W5.

Despite the complex international landscape, enthusiasm among global glass enterprises remains undiminished. The exhibition has attracted 889 brand exhibitors from 31 countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Austria and Finland. Among them, 697 are domestic exhibitors and 192 are international participants.

Traditional powerhouses in the glass industry such as Germany and Italy have once again made a strong presence in the form of national pavilions, showcasing cutting-edge achievements across the entire industrial chain – from smart factories and green low-carbon technologies to high-performance functional glass.

During the exhibition, the booth was bustling with visitors and continuous business negotiations.
