  Yttria (yttria) is a highly insoluble and thermally stable source of yttria, which is suitable for glass, optical and ceramic applications. Oxides do not conduct electricity. They are compounds containing at least one oxygen anion and one metal cation. They are usually insoluble in aqueous solutions (water) and are very stable, so they are very useful in ceramic structures, such as the production of clay bowls for advanced electronic products, as well as lightweight structural components in aerospace and electrochemical applications, such as fuel cells, which exhibit ionic conductivity.

1. It is suitable for ceramics manufacturing.

2. It is resistant to many reactive molten metals such as titanium or uranium.

3. For producing of multilayer ceramic capacitors, Yttrium oxide is also employed as a dopant to reduce the Curie temperature of the barium titanate substrate due to its special properties.
